Welcome to Our Running Club!

Kelly Escorcia

A Colorado native, Kelly Escorcia was born in Glenwood Springs and grew up in Edwards, Colorado. Kelly spent her youth ski racing, playing basketball, volleyball and running track and cross country. While at Battle Mountain she set the school track record in the 3200m and finished 6th at the state meet in the 3200m her senior year. Along with being a three-sport athlete, Kelly was also enjoyed being on student council all four years and was voted President of the school her senior year. She was also a peer counselor and active in the annual school musical.

Kelly left the Centennial State to attend Luther College, in Decorah, Iowa to study accounting. While at Luther College she ran cross country for the Norse on a team that won conference two of the four years she ran and never placed lower than third in the Iowa Conference.

After college, Kelly and her husband moved back to Colorado, and she continued to run road races. Kelly has run 8 marathons, with a personal best of 3:00:32 at the Des Moines Marathon. She holds a 5K PR of 18:08 and a half marathon PR of 1:25:06.

Kelly now resides in Centennial, Colorado, with her daughter Ava, son Dylan, husband Simon, and golden retrievers Jovie and Walter.  She works as a controller for Dublin Development. When she’s not busy being a mom, working, taking her kids to the mountains to ski, or shuttling them to all their various sporting events and social activities, she also finds time to run on the High Line Canal and weight train.

This is a team you and your family will be proud to be a part of! The kids are great and the coaches outstanding! All the coaches give just the right amount of nurture and push. They strive for excellence in all they do and, at the same time, meet each kid where they're at. Our son has been a part of the team since second grade and he is currently a rising fifth grader. Last fall he said the coyotes are like his second family. This positive attitude comes from the coaches on down. Thank you! Go Coyotes!

My daughter just joined the Coyotes and we couldn't be happier. She loves practice, never wants to leave, and keeps improving her times. The coaches are great, and the other runners support each other. Practices are organized and focused on improving. I would recommend the Coyotes to anyone interested in a youth running club.

The culture that the coaches have established is phenomenal. The runners are positively taught and motivated while being held to an expectation for person growth. The team continually supports each regardless of their age and ability level. This has been one of the best athletic activity decisions we have made.
