Jim started running at age 7 on a track in Littleton, CO and has been racing, running, and coaching ever since. Jim is a three-time AAU national champion, and former age-group national record holder at 3000m. He won three state titles at Chantilly High School in Virginia and went on to captain the Men’s Track & Field and Cross-Country programs at Princeton University. At Princeton, Jim was an individual conference champion at 5000m, and led his team to a top-20 finish at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. Jim has coached a variety of youth sports, at the high school level where three of his teams finished in the top 3 at States, and has helped adults train for races ranging from 5ks to marathons. Jim loves the sense of accomplishment that running can provide for anyone, at any age, at any level. But most of all, he loves the friendships and smiles that inevitably result from the collective efforts of a group of dedicated runners.
